Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has entered into a Technology Ownership Transfer (ToT) agreement valued at around USD 150 million with an Israel-based semiconductor technology company. The partnership aims to co-develop EdgeAI chip hardware design and manufacture semiconductors in India.
Under this collaboration, the Israel partner will contribute the core hardware design architecture, while Blue Cloud Softech Solutions will build and own the software stack, including firmware, middleware and application development layers. This structure enables BCSSL to retain software IP ownership and chip-level technology control within India.
The five-year agreement covers product development, technology integration and semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure creation in India. The company is also in advanced talks with domestic semiconductor fabrication units to produce the chips within the country, strengthening India’s presence in the global semiconductor value chain.
BCSSL stated that this initiative supports India’s Aatma Nirbhar Bharat objective, while also enabling domestic chip manufacturing for industrial segments such as defense technology, energy, AIoT systems and critical infrastructure automation. The project also supports the ongoing USD 15 million collaboration with Byte Eclipse in the Oil & Gas sector.
The upcoming EdgeAI chip platform is designed for high-performance edge computing with low latency, enhanced security, rugged industrial environment support and up to 32 TOPS AI inference capability, along with support for dual 10G Ethernet, 5G NR and Wi-Fi 6E.
BCSSL believes this step will accelerate indigenous semiconductor capability and establish India as a competitive hub in EdgeAI hardware innovation for global markets.
