Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has secured a fresh work order valued at approximately ₹170.25 crore, including GST, from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The order involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 4,840 stand-alone off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across the state of Madhya Pradesh under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme .
The solar pump deployment is part of the government’s broader push to promote renewable energy-based irrigation solutions and reduce dependence on grid power and diesel pumps. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is scheduled to be completed within 120 days from the date of award, reflecting a time-bound implementation framework aimed at supporting farmers at scale.
According to the company’s regulatory disclosure, the total contract value stands at ₹156.34 crore excluding GST, with no related-party involvement in the transaction. The order strengthens Shakti Pumps’ order book and reinforces its position in India’s solar irrigation segment, aligned with national renewable energy and sustainable agriculture objectives.
