Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates the Genesys Digital Twin Map Stack in Varanasi

Varanasi , India : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a significant stride in modernizing Varanasi’s infrastructure and tackling urban challenges by inaugurating the Digital Twin initiative in his constituency. The honor was bestowed upon mapping pioneer Genesys International Corporation. Genesys International Corporation Ltd, in partnership with Varanasi Smart City Limited (VSCL), is commencing the deployment of a 3D Digital Twin spanning an extensive area of 160 square kilometers. Utilizing the Genesys New India Map stack, this initiative seeks to construct a precise 3D model of Varanasi, encompassing its geographical attributes, operational processes, and interconnections. The contract for this project amounts to 7 crores.

Commenting on the order win, Mr. Sajid Malik, CMD of Genesys International Corporation, stated, “It is a significant milestone for us to Digital Twin Varanasi. Our 3D city data will be integrated into various development schemes and projects. The simulation capabilities offered by the Digital Twin will aid urban planning efforts, enabling predictive visualization of infrastructure projects such as flyovers, foot over bridges, and road-widening. Additionally, the precise elevation models provided by LiDAR technology will lay the groundwork for ambitious waterways transport projects.

The Urban Spatial 3D Digital Twin project represents a transformative leap towards a smarter, more resilient Varanasi, equipped to address present and future urban challenges. By harnessing advanced spatial technology, Varanasi aims to emerge as a model for sustainable urban development and efficient governance.
