Aerpace Industries Limited has announced the operational activation of its integrated research and development and manufacturing facility in the Chakan Industrial Region of Pune. The update, disclosed through a regulatory filing, marks the company’s transition from infrastructure readiness to active execution across its renewable energy and defence manufacturing verticals.
The company stated that a soft launch event was conducted at the facility, along with an internal strategic alignment session involving employees across departments. The session focused on aligning teams with the company’s long-term vision of building a sustainable and self-sufficient ecosystem powered by advanced technologies and clean energy.
Aerpace confirmed that the Pune-based facility is now fully operational and will serve as a central hub for its multi-vertical strategy. The integrated ecosystem includes renewable energy solutions such as solar manufacturing, defence drone systems, sustainable transportation platforms, and proprietary software technologies.
In the renewable energy segment, the company highlighted that installation, electrical integration, and system calibration of its solar panel manufacturing line have been successfully completed. With all processes in place, the company is now ready to commence commercial production.
The Pune facility has been designed with a production capacity of up to 2,000 solar panels per day, representing a significant step toward scalable manufacturing in the renewable energy sector. Aerpace indicated that commercial production is expected to begin in the first week of April 2026, with initial operations focusing on process stabilization, quality validation, and output optimization.
Alongside solar manufacturing readiness, Aerpace has initiated the setup of its defence drone manufacturing and assembly infrastructure at the same facility. The company reported that procurement of machinery has commenced, key system deliveries are underway, and installation and commissioning activities are currently in progress.
The defence manufacturing vertical will support UAV assembly and integration, subsystem production including propulsion and communication systems, and testing and validation processes. This development marks the company’s entry into operational capability building in the defence manufacturing space.
With the activation of the Pune facility, Aerpace now has the capability to support solar panel manufacturing, UAV assembly, engineering and testing, as well as R&D and product development activities. The facility is expected to act as a central execution platform for the company’s growth strategy across multiple sectors.
