Basilic Fly Studio Limited (BFS), a visual effects (VFX) company serving global studios and streaming platforms, has announced that it has secured new international projects worth approximately ₹105 crore (around GBP 8.2 million) during the year-to-date period of FY27. The company also said its bidding pipeline has expanded to a record ₹700 crore (around GBP 55 million), providing greater revenue visibility for the financial year.

According to the company, the newly secured contracts represent nearly 25% of its FY26 reported revenue. The projects are scheduled to commence in August 2026, with delivery expected to be completed within FY27.

The newly awarded work comes from leading Hollywood production houses and streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney and Apple. Basilic Fly Studio said a significant share of the production will be executed through its India-based delivery centres, leveraging its existing delivery infrastructure while maintaining production quality standards.

In addition to the new project wins, the company stated that its active bidding pipeline has reached approximately ₹700 crore. More than 40% of the bids are currently in advanced stages of evaluation, reflecting continued client engagement and potential opportunities across international markets.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director and CEO Balakrishnan said the company remains focused on strengthening relationships with global studios and expanding its scalable delivery capabilities. He added that the latest project wins and bidding pipeline reflect continued confidence from international clients.

Basilic Fly Studio also outlined several operational developments aimed at supporting future growth. The company is expanding its India delivery centres, with a major workforce ramp-up planned in Bengaluru. It expects its India team to reach nearly 100 professionals by March 2027, supporting additional delivery capacity and margin expansion.

On the leadership front, the company has strengthened its global management team with appointments across business development, creative leadership, production and VFX operations to support its expanding international project portfolio.

The company also highlighted technology initiatives focused on operational efficiency. These include its “Project Hybrid” cloud cost optimisation programme, enterprise storage deployment, production workflow improvements, AI-assisted content creation tools, and investments in unified data centre infrastructure and technology excellence.

Basilic Fly Studio said it has recently contributed visual effects work to several high-profile productions, including Netflix’s “Glory”, “Lupin Season 4”, and AMC’s “The Walking Dead Season 4”, while continuing to expand AI-assisted production workflows.
