Sahaj Solar Limited announced that it has secured a Letter of Empanelment and rate contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the deployment of off grid solar powered water pumping systems across the state. The project is being undertaken under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and the PM KUSUM B Scheme.
The contract involves the design manufacture supply transportation installation testing and commissioning of off grid DC solar photovoltaic pumping systems in 3 HP 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities. These systems will be installed at identified farmer locations and will include a five year warranty along with repair maintenance and remote monitoring support.
The total value of the award stands at Rs 35.75 Crore inclusive of GST. The company stated that the project is domestic and does not fall under related party transactions.
Each work order issued under the scheme must be executed within 60 days with all installations expected to be completed before March 31 2026.
