AXISCADES Technologies Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with OGMA – Indústria Aeronáutica de Portugal to expand its aerospace and defence manufacturing and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities. The agreement aligns with AXISCADES’ strategy of moving up the aerospace value chain by focusing on high-value, long-term service-led engagements.

Under the partnership, AXISCADES will work with OGMA to deliver MRO, airframe engineering and certification services for commercial and military aircraft, including platforms operated by Embraer and other global manufacturers. The collaboration is expected to support Embraer aircraft fleets operating in India, which include VVIP, AEW&C and commercial aircraft, while also pursuing opportunities in the UAE and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

The alliance combines AXISCADES’ strengths in aircraft design, avionics, radar, electronic warfare and advanced engineering with OGMA’s long-standing expertise in airframe and engine MRO. OGMA’s established relationships with major original equipment manufacturers such as Airbus Defence, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney are expected to enhance access to global aerospace programmes.

AXISCADES is also developing an integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing and MRO hub near the Bengaluru International Airport. The proposed facility is expected to house dedicated hangars, engine and component shops, electronics manufacturing units, system integration capabilities and certification testing infrastructure, supporting the company’s objective of strengthening indigenous MRO capabilities and positioning India as a competitive global aerospace services hub.
