G.G. Tronics India Private Limited, a subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, has secured an order valued at approximately ₹433.34 crore from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works in West Bengal. The order pertains to the supply and deployment of KAVACH, India’s indigenous Train Collision Avoidance System, further strengthening CG Power’s footprint in railway safety and signalling solutions.
The scope of the contract includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-board KAVACH equipment on locomotives in line with prescribed railway standards. It also covers complete wiring, cabling, system integration, and an annual maintenance contract for a period of 11 years, applicable from the fifth year at 3 percent per annum. The execution timeline for the project is one year.
The order reinforces G.G. Tronics’ position as a key partner to Indian Railways in delivering safety-critical signalling systems. The company is in advanced stages of securing final approvals for KAVACH 4.0 after completing mandatory safety tests. An independent safety assessment is expected to begin in February 2026, aligning with the government’s broader rail modernisation and safety enhancement initiatives.
