Intellect Design Arena Ltd. has announced an expanded technology partnership with Cargills Bank, a licensed commercial bank in Sri Lanka, to modernise its core banking infrastructure using Intellect’s composable eMACH.ai Core Banking Architecture.

The expanded engagement is aimed at supporting Cargills Bank’s digital transformation by providing a modern, cloud-ready and composable banking technology platform. The programme covers core banking, lending, trade finance and treasury operations under a unified technology architecture.

According to the company, the modernisation programme is designed to support banking functions including customer onboarding, deposits, payments, loan origination, loan management, limits and collateral management, trade finance and treasury.

Cargills Bank to Modernise Core Banking Technology

Under the expanded partnership, Cargills Bank will adopt Intellect’s composable eMACH.ai Core Banking Architecture as part of its technology modernisation programme. The architecture is intended to provide a scalable technology foundation that can evolve with the bank’s business requirements.

The engagement will establish a unified platform covering core banking, lending, treasury and trade finance. The architecture is also designed to support cloud-ready operations and provide greater flexibility for future technology enhancements.

The programme is expected to enable Cargills Bank to strengthen its digital banking infrastructure while supporting product development and customer-facing banking services.
