KP Group to Invest ₹8,000 Crore in Hydrogen and EV Fuel Network Across Gujarat

KP Group, a Gujarat-based renewable energy and infrastructure conglomerate, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat to establish Hydrogen and Electric Vehicle (EV) fuel stations across the state. The agreement was formalized during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference 2025 (North Region) held at Ganpat University, Mehsana.

The MoU, signed on October 9, 2025, aims to strengthen Gujarat’s clean energy and e-mobility ecosystem. Representing KP Group, Whole-Time Director Mr. Affan Patel signed the agreement, while Smt. Bhakti Shamal, Joint Secretary of the Energy & Petrochemicals Department, represented the Government of Gujarat. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel.

As part of the agreement, KP Group will invest ₹8,000 crore to develop a comprehensive network of Hydrogen and EV refuelling stations across Gujarat. The initiative is expected to generate approximately 1,000 employment opportunities, contributing to the state’s transition toward low-carbon and sustainable mobility.

The Gujarat government will assist the company in obtaining necessary permissions, approvals, and clearances from relevant departments to ensure smooth execution of the project.

Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Founding Promoter of KP Group, stated that the collaboration represents another milestone in Gujarat’s leadership in clean energy adoption. He added that the initiative will create a future-ready refuelling infrastructure that supports industries, public transport, and private vehicles in transitioning to cleaner fuel options.
