Bosch Limited, Brakes India Private Limited and Wheels India Limited have announced a joint venture focused on strengthening their presence in the commercial vehicle air systems segment, aiming to address the industry’s increasing shift toward intelligent and software-driven technologies.

The new venture will be established as a 50:50 partnership between Bosch and TSF Group companies represented by Brakes India and Wheels India. The companies expect the joint venture to begin operations by the end of 2026, subject to receiving required regulatory approvals.

According to the announcement, the partnership is intended to unlock growth opportunities in electronically enabled air systems while leveraging the engineering and manufacturing strengths of the participating companies.

The joint venture will focus on the engineering, manufacturing and sales of electronically controlled and software-driven modules used in commercial vehicle applications. Areas of focus include air compression systems, air processing systems, air suspension technologies and air parking brake systems.

The registered office of the venture will be located in Chennai. The global supply chain operations involving India are expected to be managed through Bosch, Brakes India and Wheels India entities.

Company executives said the initiative aligns with broader industry trends where commercial vehicle technologies are increasingly moving from traditional mechanical systems toward software-led architectures.

Bosch stated that the planned collaboration is expected to strengthen its commercial vehicle motion management capabilities and support future mobility requirements. Brakes India highlighted the venture’s potential to expand its portfolio in pneumatic braking systems, while Wheels India noted that the partnership could accelerate development in electronic air suspension systems.

The companies added that the boards of Bosch Group, Bosch Limited, Brakes India Private Limited and Wheels India Limited have approved the transaction. The partnership is expected to support growing market requirements related to operational efficiency, vehicle safety and automation technologies in the commercial vehicle segment.
