Guwahati, Assam, September 27, 2025 – Delaplex Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bharatnet Telecom Company Limited (BTCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), to launch a pan-India network of Edge Micro Data Centers.
The agreement was formalised during BSNL’s Silver Jubilee celebrations at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati, Assam. The event was attended by Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, IT Minister Keshab Mahanta, BSNL CMD Robert J Ravi, and senior officials from both BSNL and Delaplex.
This collaboration leverages BSNL’s nationwide telecom infrastructure and Delaplex’s cloud expertise to democratise high-performance, cost-effective digital infrastructure for businesses of all sizes. The initiative particularly targets MSMEs and SMBs, which often face high costs and complexity in traditional data center adoption.
Industry projections highlight that India’s data center demand will rise nearly fivefold to 8GW by 2030, driven by AI adoption, surging data traffic, and localisation mandates. With the market valued at $524.8 million in 2024 and expected to cross $3 billion by 2033, the partnership is set to play a pivotal role in the country’s digital growth.
Delaplex CMD Nitin Sachdeva stated that the initiative will advance India’s “Digital Bharat” vision by improving data security, scalability, and productivity for enterprises across the nation.
