Garden Reach Shipbuilders Signs Strategic MoUs for Shipbuilding, Port Development and Logistics

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) has signed five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with key partners in the shipbuilding, port, and infrastructure sectors. The agreements were finalized during the ‘Samudra Se Samriddhi’ Mission event in Bhavnagar on September 20, 2025, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.

The partnerships aim to strengthen collaboration in green and low-emission vessel construction, ship repair, port development, logistics, and connectivity projects. GRSE stated that the move supports India’s ambition to be among the world’s top five shipbuilding nations by 2047.

Speaking on the occasion, Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of GRSE, highlighted that the partnerships reinforce GRSE’s role in India’s shipbuilding resurgence. He said the agreements are a step towards developing an integrated ecosystem of shipyards, ports, operators, and infrastructure providers.
