Inox Wind Limited announced that it has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with KP Energy Limited to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind-solar hybrid power projects across various Indian states. The agreement marks a strategic collaboration between two prominent players in the renewable energy sector, combining manufacturing expertise with strong project development capabilities.
Under the MoU, Inox Wind and its subsidiaries will supply Wind Turbine Generators, provide engineering support including USS design, transformer specifications and foundation design, and undertake pre-commissioning, commissioning and long-term operations and maintenance of the WTGs. The company’s fully integrated manufacturing base and engineering strength are expected to support timely project execution.
KP Energy will lead project development activities, including securing land, statutory approvals, connectivity and right-of-way. The company will also execute Balance of Plant and EPC works and manage the O&M of the Balance of Plant infrastructure. Its established track record in ground-level execution is expected to complement Inox Wind’s equipment and technology strengths.
The collaboration is aimed at strengthening the renewable energy value chain by leveraging the complementary competencies of both companies. The partnership positions the two firms to pursue large-scale opportunities, enhance operational efficiency and contribute meaningfully to India’s clean-energy transition.
Industry leaders from both organisations stated that the alliance will help deliver structured, high-quality renewable assets and reinforce their role in supporting India’s growing demand for sustainable power.
