Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited has secured a rail infrastructure project valued at ₹46.63 crore in Assam after receiving a Letter of Acceptance from a government authority.

The project has been awarded by Northeast Frontier Railway and involves the construction of a Road Over Bridge in lieu of an existing manned level crossing. The infrastructure will be developed at Level Crossing No. NC-5, located between Rangapani and New Jalpaiguri stations on the New Jalpaiguri–Aluabari rail section.

The proposed Road Over Bridge is expected to enhance road and rail connectivity while improving commuter safety by eliminating the level crossing. The project is also aimed at easing traffic movement and supporting smoother rail operations in the region.

Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited will execute the project over a period of 18 months from the date of award. The order has been awarded by a domestic government entity, and the company has confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority.

The company also clarified that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions. The latest order adds to Brahmaputra Infrastructure’s existing order book and strengthens its footprint in rail-linked infrastructure development, particularly in the northeastern region, which continues to witness sustained public investment in transport projects.
