JD Cables Limited has received an additional Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) infrastructure contract valued at ₹163 crore from Kaushal Engineering Limited, strengthening its order book and expanding its role in national highway development projects. This order follows an earlier contract worth ₹244 crore awarded in December 2025, taking the total cumulative order value to ₹407 crore.
The latest contract involves the execution of balance civil and electrical works under a major National Highway Development Project in Jharkhand. The scope of work includes construction of highway infrastructure such as bridges, vehicular underpasses, and associated electrical systems for the six-laning of the Bihar–Jharkhand border stretch from Chordaha to Gorhar on National Highway-2.
The total revenue expected from the work order is approximately ₹162.88 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes. The project is being executed under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction mode as part of the National Highway Development Programme Phase V. The contract value accounts for approved changes in scope, price escalation, and statutory levies in line with the main contract provisions.
The project is scheduled to be completed within nine months from the date of the contract. JD Cables has indicated that the additional scope of work will be executed in parallel with its ongoing projects through dedicated teams and resources to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
JD Cables Limited is engaged in the manufacturing of wires, cables, and conductors used in power transmission and distribution networks.
