PVR INOX Limited has expanded its footprint in South India with the opening of a new eight-screen cinema at Odeon Mall on RTC X Road, Chikkadpally, Hyderabad. The launch strengthens the company’s presence in one of the city’s most established cinema districts and marks its 19th operational property in Hyderabad.
The newly opened multiplex houses eight mainstream auditoriums with a combined seating capacity of 1,402 seats. With this addition, PVR INOX’s total screen count in Hyderabad has increased to 119, reinforcing the city’s role as a key market for the company’s exhibition business.
Located at Odeon Mall, the cinema benefits from strong connectivity and proximity to residential and commercial hubs in central Hyderabad. RTC X Road has historically been associated with movie theatres and continues to attract audiences from across the city.
The property is equipped with advanced cinema technologies, including two 4K projectors and a laser phosphor projector designed to deliver enhanced brightness and image clarity. The viewing experience is supported by Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound systems, along with next-generation 3D technology. Premium seating formats such as Celebrity Recliners have also been introduced to enhance audience comfort.
In addition to movie screenings, the cinema features a curated in-house food and beverage portfolio offering gourmet and quick-service options. An upcoming gaming zone within the mall is expected to further strengthen the destination’s overall entertainment appeal.
With this opening, PVR INOX continues to scale its national network and now operates 1,791 screens across 358 properties in 112 cities in India and Sri Lanka. The company also has a strong presence in South India with 599 screens spread across 28 cities, reflecting its ongoing focus on expanding high-quality cinema infrastructure in key urban markets.
