Tejas Networks Limited has announced the completion of a major milestone under the Government of India’s BharatNet Phase III initiative, with cumulative shipments exceeding 17,000 IP/MPLS routers.

According to the company’s disclosure dated March 30, 2026, these routers are being deployed across 9 states and 5 union territories. The deployment is being executed by Project Implementation Agency (PIA) partners, with the equipment already carrying live traffic at multiple locations.

The company stated that it will supply nearly 60,000 TJ1400 routers for BharatNet Phase III. These deployments are expected to cover over 55,000 Gram Panchayats and approximately 2,000 blocks across India, strengthening rural broadband connectivity infrastructure.

Tejas Networks’ TJ1400 series routers are part of its next-generation access and aggregation portfolio designed for terabit-scale IP/MPLS networks. The company highlighted that its software-defined hardware architecture enables scalable and reliable middle-mile network performance, which is critical for large-scale national connectivity programs such as BharatNet.

Arnob Roy, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the company, stated that BharatNet remains a flagship digital infrastructure program aimed at enabling high-speed broadband connectivity in rural India. He noted that the milestone reflects the company’s capabilities in delivering carrier-grade networking solutions for critical infrastructure projects.
