Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has expanded its partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to modernize its Business Support System (BSS) through an AI-driven platform aimed at enhancing customer experience.
The five-year collaboration focuses on automation, personalization, and faster rollout of new services. The transformation will be anchored on TCS HOBS as the digital backbone, while TCS TwinX will add AI and machine learning capabilities to improve responsiveness and deliver personalized customer interactions.
Vi’s Chief Technology Officer, Jagbir Singh, said the initiative represents a major step in redefining customer engagement. By embedding AI innovation into its BSS, Vi aims to provide faster, smarter, and more tailored digital services to its subscribers.
Ujjwal Mathur, President & Country Head – India Business at TCS, noted that the program builds on a 15-year partnership between the two companies. He emphasized TCS’ focus on driving AI-led transformation and operational efficiency in the telecom sector.
The collaboration supports Vi’s efforts to strengthen its digital and 5G offerings. The company currently provides services across 2G, 4G, and 5G networks, with expansion of 5G underway in 17 circles.
