VA Tech Wabag Limited has secured a Letter of Award from the Saudi Water Authority for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 50 million litres per day brackish water reverse osmosis plant in Aljouf, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The project is a repeat international order and falls under the Large order category. It involves the complete design, engineering, supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of the BWRO treatment facility. The plant will use advanced water treatment technologies to ensure reliable and sustainable water supply for the region.

The proposed facility will treat raw water sourced from borewell fields that contain rare elements. To address this, the project will deploy robust pre-treatment processes, including ceramic membrane technology, micron cartridge filtration, and reverse osmosis systems. These technologies are expected to enhance long-term operational reliability and efficiency.

Execution of the project is planned over a 14-month period. While the Letter of Award has been received, contract signing formalities are currently underway, after which the effective date for commencement of execution will be announced.

This order further strengthens VA Tech Wabag’s presence in the Middle East water infrastructure market and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s focus on sustainable, technology-driven water management solutions under its long-term development objectives.
