DCX Systems Signs MoU with Tamil Nadu Government to Establish Defence Manufacturing Facility for Advanced Radar Systems

Quick Summary: DCX Systems Limited has entered into a non-binding MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu to establish a defence manufacturing facility at Hosur. The project, in collaboration with Israel’s ELTA Systems, will focus on radar technologies under the “Make in India” initiative, with state support for infrastructure and regulatory facilitation.

Full Article: DCX Systems Limited has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu during the ‘TN Rising Investment Conclave’ held in Hosur on September 11, 2025. The agreement aims to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for its joint venture with ELTA Systems Ltd, Israel, and its group companies.

The initiative, announced in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, is aligned with the state’s Industrial Policy 2021 and Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy 2022. The proposed facility at Hosur, one of India’s Defence Industrial Corridors, will focus on producing advanced systems, including Airborne Maritime Radar Systems, Fire Control Radar Systems, and other radar technologies for both airborne and land-based applications under the “Make in India” framework.

As part of the MoU, Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency Guidance will extend support to the joint venture by providing infrastructure assistance and facilitating regulatory processes. This includes enabling the venture to obtain necessary permissions, registrations, approvals, allotments, and incentives from relevant state authorities.

The development builds on DCX Systems’ earlier announcement in April 2025 regarding its joint venture agreement with ELTA Systems Ltd, strengthening its commitment to India’s defence manufacturing sector.
