The company plans to scale its production capacity from approximately 1 lakh pairs per month to around 5 lakh pairs per month in a phased manner. This expansion is aligned with its broader strategy to tap into rising demand for higher-value footwear products and improve overall operational efficiency.
Expansion Strategy and Timeline
As part of the expansion, Lehar Footwear has signed a rental agreement for the new facility. The unit is expected to commence commercial operations from the second quarter of FY26. The company indicated that the facility will play a key role in its transition toward premiumisation and higher-margin product segments.
The Kundli facility will focus on manufacturing sports shoes and EVA-based footwear using advanced machinery and modern production processes. This is expected to enhance product quality, ensure better consistency, and increase manufacturing efficiency.
Strengthening Brand and OEM Capabilities
The new unit will support both the company’s in-house athleisure brand ‘Rannr’ and its OEM manufacturing vertical. This dual focus is expected to create synergies between branded and contract manufacturing operations, enabling better market penetration and revenue diversification.
According to the company’s leadership, the expansion is a strategic step toward building scalable, technology-driven manufacturing capabilities. It is also expected to enhance the company’s positioning across both branded and OEM segments.
Industry Tailwinds
India’s sports and athleisure footwear market is witnessing strong growth, driven by increasing health awareness, rising disposable incomes, and evolving consumer preferences. Lehar Footwear aims to leverage these trends through continued investments in capacity expansion, product innovation, and brand development.
