The Indian Hume Pipe Company Limited has announced that it has received Letters of Intent for multiple irrigation infrastructure projects in Maharashtra through its joint venture partnerships, with a combined company share of ₹461 Crore.
The largest portion of the award comes from a joint venture involving Prathmesh Construction and the company, where Indian Hume Pipe holds a share of ₹343 Crore. This project relates to the Bhogapur Lift Irrigation Scheme Stage 2 along with the Pipe Distribution Network in Jalgaon district. The total value of this project stands at ₹1,716.70 Crore, excluding GST, royalty, insurance, and crop compensation. The scope includes construction as well as operation and maintenance for a period of five years, with execution scheduled over 48 months.
In a separate joint venture with S.V. Jadhav Construction, Yogiraj Power, and Pruthviraj Desai, the company has secured a ₹118 Crore share in irrigation works under the Maharashtra Krishna Valley Development Corporation in Satara district. This project covers the construction of the Ner Lift Irrigation Scheme phases 3 and 4. The total contract value for this project is ₹536.59 Crore, including royalty and insurance but excluding GST. Similar to the first project, it includes construction and a five-year operation and maintenance period, with a 48-month execution timeline.
Both projects are domestic contracts awarded by government irrigation authorities. The agreements are structured as percentage rate contracts and do not involve any related party transactions.
These developments strengthen Indian Hume Pipe’s presence in the irrigation infrastructure sector and contribute to its order book in water management projects across Maharashtra.
