Oswal Pumps Secures ₹162 Crore Solar Pump Order From Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company

Oswal Pumps Limited has announced that it has secured an order worth approximately ₹162.06 crore, including GST, from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of off-grid solar water pumping systems in Maharashtra.

The order involves the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of 6,869 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). The systems include 3HP, 5HP, and 7.5HP capacities and will be installed at identified farmers’ sites across Maharashtra.

The project has been awarded under the PM Kusum B Scheme “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana, a government initiative aimed at supporting sustainable irrigation and renewable energy adoption in the agricultural sector.

Oswal Pumps stated that the project scope also includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and Remote Monitoring System (RMS) support for five years.

As per the company’s disclosure, the empanelment letter issued by MSEDCL is valid for up to one year. The installation of the systems is expected to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) or work order.

The company clarified that the contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not involve any related party transaction. Oswal Pumps also confirmed that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding entity.

In a company statement, Chairman and Managing Director Vivek Gupta said the order reflects continued trust from MSEDCL and strengthens the company’s position in the solar water pumping solutions segment.
