RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a major work order from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) for providing security-related ancillary services during recruitment examinations.
The state-owned telecom infrastructure and ICT solutions provider disclosed the development in a regulatory filing submitted to the stock exchanges on June 5, 2026. The company stated that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and pertains to support services associated with the conduct of recruitment examinations.
According to the details shared by RailTel, the total value of the work order stands at ₹41,32,36,473 (excluding taxes). The company noted that the contract is scheduled to be executed by June 5, 2028.
RailTel clarified that neither its promoter group nor related parties have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The company also confirmed that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
The work order was received by RailTel on June 5, 2026 strengthening the company’s order book in the government services segment. The contract reflects RailTel’s continued participation in providing technology-enabled and support solutions for large-scale public sector projects across India.
