SEPC Limited has secured a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth ₹854.57 crore from Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) for civil and structural works related to the expansion of the IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur, West Bengal. The company announced the development through a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges on August 6.
The contract has been awarded for the Pellet Plant Balance of Plant (BOP), including Civil and Structural Works under Pellet Package-2, as part of the 4.08 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) crude steel expansion project at SAIL’s IISCO Steel Plant.
The total order value stands at ₹854.57 crore, excluding Input Tax Credit. According to the company, the project is scheduled to be completed over a period of 32 months.
SEPC said the contract strengthens its presence in the industrial engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) segment and adds to its order book in the infrastructure sector. The company has executed projects across industrial infrastructure, water and wastewater management, roads, mining and process plants for both government and private sector clients.
Commenting on the order, Managing Director Mr. Venkataramani Jaiganesh said the award reflects customer confidence in SEPC’s engineering capabilities and project execution expertise. He added that the company remains committed to delivering the project while maintaining quality, safety and operational standards.
The company stated that it intends to expand its project portfolio by leveraging its engineering expertise, disciplined execution approach and customer relationships across infrastructure and industrial sectors.
