Suzlon Energy Limited has received a new 250 MW wind energy order from Torrent Green Energy, a company within the Torrent Group, further expanding the long-standing partnership between the two companies. With the latest order, their cumulative wind energy partnership has crossed 1.3 GW across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
Under the latest contract, Suzlon will supply 76 of its flagship S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3.3 MW. The company will also provide grid integration support and long-term Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services as part of the order.
The new contract marks the sixth order placed by Torrent Green Energy with Suzlon. The partnership has expanded significantly across multiple states, reflecting the growing deployment of wind power projects in the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
Suzlon said the latest order adds to its strong order momentum in the current financial year. The company has secured more than 1.1 GW of new orders in FY27 so far, highlighting continued demand for its wind turbine technology and integrated renewable energy solutions.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the continued relationship with Torrent Green Energy reflects customer confidence built through consistent performance and long-term engagement. He noted that the partnership has developed into one of Suzlon’s customer relationships over more than a decade.
Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, said customer confidence remains a key strength for the company. He added that the latest order further strengthens Suzlon’s presence in Madhya Pradesh, which is emerging as an important market for wind energy development in India.
The latest order comes as India continues to expand renewable energy capacity, with wind power remaining an important component of the country’s clean-energy transition. The addition of 250 MW to the Suzlon-Torrent partnership is expected to further increase wind power deployment across the three states.
With the cumulative partnership now exceeding 1.3 GW, the latest order strengthens Suzlon’s position in India’s wind energy market while extending its collaboration with Torrent Green Energy into another phase of renewable power development.
