Oswal Pumps Ltd. has secured an additional order worth approximately ₹235.92 crore (including GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply, installation and commissioning of 10,000 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS).
The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing on July 4, stating that the order has been awarded under the PM Kusum B Scheme, specifically the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana.” The project is scheduled to be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of off-grid solar water pumping systems with capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP. The scope also includes a complete system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a Remote Monitoring System (RMS) for five years.
According to the company, the solar pumping systems will be installed at identified farmers’ sites across various districts of Maharashtra to support agricultural irrigation using renewable energy.
Oswal Pumps clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity, MSEDCL. The company also stated that neither its promoters nor promoter group companies have any interest in the awarding entity, and the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
In a statement accompanying the announcement, the company’s management said the repeat order reflects its ongoing association with MSEDCL in implementing solar irrigation projects in Maharashtra.
The latest contract adds to Oswal Pumps’ order book in the solar pumping segment, where the company supplies integrated solar water pumping solutions for agricultural applications.
