Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and the country’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, today with Billion Electric Mobility (member of Group BillionE), flagged off its AVTR 55T Electric, BOSS 19T Electric, and BOSS 14T Electric trucks. This flagoff marks the commencement of the delivery of Electric trucks by Ashok Leyland to the BillionE Group
The event was attended by key leaders, including Ashok Leyland’s MD & CEO Mr. Shenu Agarwal and BillionE’s Founder & CEO Mr. Kartikey Hariyani. BillionE has ordered 180 electric vehicles, including BOSS Electric Trucks and AVTR 55T Electric Tractors.
Mr. Agarwal expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting the advanced features of their electric platforms, which enhance performance and total cost of ownership. Mr. Hariyani emphasized the importance of these vehicles in promoting a sustainable transportation ecosystem.
The new trucks feature advanced performance, safety, and efficiency technologies, including IP67-rated battery packs and Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). This launch represents a significant step in Ashok Leyland’s mission to lead the transition to eco-friendly mobility and reduce the carbon footprint of India’s transportation sector.
