Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has teamed up with Singapore-based Keppel to launch Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) solutions in India. This initiative allows businesses to access long-term, energy-efficient cooling without significant infrastructure investment, leading to substantial energy and cost savings.
The collaboration aligns with India’s Cooling Action Plan and Smart Cities Mission, focusing on high-demand areas like airports, IT parks, and data centers. By implementing District Cooling Systems (DCS), energy use can be reduced by up to 40% and carbon emissions by 50%.
Tata Power will leverage its local market expertise and infrastructure, while Keppel will apply its successful track record in Asia to explore opportunities in India. Both companies aim to contribute to India’s energy efficiency goals and support the country’s Net Zero targets.
