Apollo Hospitals Worli LLP, a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, has signed a definitive agreement to build, operate, and manage a 500-bed hospital in Worli, Mumbai. Simultaneously, Apollo Medics International Lifesciences Limited, another subsidiary, has acquired 1.2 acres of land in Lucknow to expand its existing facility by an additional 200 beds.

Currently, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited operates around 9,363 beds on a consolidated basis, which includes 7,942 owned beds, 790 under operation and management, and 631 dedicated to day surgery and birthing.

The new facility in Worli will be developed through a Build, Operate, and Manage project in collaboration with Konkan Unnati Mitra Manda I (KUMM), a public trust that aims to support underserved populations while meeting charity commissioner regulations. As of the end of Q1 FY 2025, the occupancy rate for the owned hospital beds was 68%.

The expansion in Lucknow will add approximately 160 beds, bringing the total new bed count to 2,877 across both locations. The proposed capacity additions are set to be completed within the next four years, with an investment of ₹13,000 million for the Worli project and ₹3,250 million for Lucknow, financed through internal accruals and debt.
