RMC Switchgears Limited has announced plans to set up a ₹100 crore Solar Module Manufacturing Plant and a Module Mounting Structure facility in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with an annual capacity of 1 GWp. This expansion, located next to the company’s current plant in Badodiya Village, will be funded through internal accruals, equity, and debt, and is set to be operational by July 2025.
The project will be executed via RMC Green Energy Pvt. Ltd., with RMC increasing its stake to nearly 100%. This strategic move will help RMC reduce external dependencies and strengthen its Solar EPC and IPP project capabilities.
RMC aims to position itself as a major player in the solar market, enhancing its product range and supporting India’s renewable energy goals as part of its Vision 2030.
