Intellect Design Arena Limited has secured a major deal through its step-down subsidiary, Intellect Design Arena Inc., to fast-track digital banking transformation for 35 Canadian credit unions. These partnerships span eight provinces in Canada and include institutions collectively managing more than USD 13 billion in assets under administration while serving over 373,000 retail and small business members.

As part of the initiative, the participating credit unions will implement Intellect’s eMACH.ai Digital Engagement Platform, a cloud-native and SaaS-enabled solution designed to deliver secure, seamless and personalised digital banking experiences. The platform is expected to significantly enhance member engagement while enabling scalable growth and faster rollout of new digital capabilities.

The transformation is being executed through four strategic agreements with Bulkley Valley Credit Union, Kindred Credit Union, Rosenort Credit Union, and League Data, which represents 32 affiliated credit unions. The scope of the deployment includes digital onboarding, chequing and savings account services, payments, and comprehensive member service journeys across mobile and online banking channels.

By adopting the eMACH.ai platform, credit unions are expected to benefit from accelerated onboarding using real-time KYC and liveness verification, advanced digital self-service features, and improved operational efficiency through a shared multi-tenant SaaS model. The low-code, microservices-based architecture also supports rapid innovation and deployment of Canada-ready open finance functionalities.

The early adopter group of credit unions marks the first phase of a broader rollout aimed at modernising the digital capabilities of Canada’s credit union ecosystem. Intellect Design Arena stated that the initiative reinforces its long-standing commitment to the Canadian financial services market and its focus on enabling technology-led transformation for cooperative banking institutions.

Intellect Design Arena is a global financial technology company operating across more than 60 countries, offering enterprise-grade solutions across consumer banking, wholesale banking, wealth management, insurance, and digital commerce. The latest deal strengthens the company’s footprint in North America and positions it as a key technology partner for credit unions pursuing large-scale digital transformation.
