BSE Q1 FY27 Results: Consolidated Net Profit Rises 66% YoY to ₹872.66 Crore and Total Income Grows 70% YoY to ₹1,706.72 Crore

BSE Limited reported a strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, with consolidated revenue and profitability registering robust year-on-year growth, driven by higher operating income. Alongside its quarterly earnings, the stock exchange also announced the acquisition of an additional stake in India International Bullion Holding IFSC Limited (IIBH), increasing its shareholding to 20%.

According to the company’s unaudited consolidated financial results, revenue from operations increased to ₹1,566.02 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹957.95 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, reflecting a growth of around 63.5% year-on-year. Total income rose 69% to ₹1,706.72 crore compared with ₹1,004.45 crore in Q1 FY26.

BSE’s profit before tax climbed to ₹1,163.66 crore during the quarter, up from ₹701.40 crore a year earlier. Net profit attributable to the company reached ₹874.02 crore, while consolidated net profit after tax stood at ₹872.66 crore, compared with ₹526.22 crore in the year-ago quarter, marking a rise of nearly 66%.

On a sequential basis, consolidated total income increased from ₹1,630.17 crore in the March 2026 quarter to ₹1,706.72 crore, while net profit improved from ₹795.47 crore to ₹872.66 crore.

Total expenses for the quarter increased to ₹53.69 crore from ₹35.93 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting higher employee costs, technology expenditure, regulatory contributions and clearing and settlement expenses as business volumes expanded.

The company reported basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations of ₹21.22 for the June 2026 quarter, compared with ₹12.80 in the corresponding quarter last year.

On a standalone basis, BSE reported total income of ₹1,601.44 crore, up from ₹948.37 crore in Q1 FY26. Standalone profit after tax rose to ₹801.15 crore from ₹468.40 crore during the same period last year.

In a separate regulatory filing, BSE said it will acquire 50 crore equity shares of India International Bullion Holding IFSC Limited (IIBH) from its subsidiaries, India International Exchange (IFSC) Limited and India International Clearing Corporation (IFSC) Limited, through a secondary purchase.

The cash transaction, valued at ₹50.50 crore, will increase BSE’s stake in IIBH from 3.33% to 20%, making IIBH a direct associate company of BSE. The acquisition remains subject to requisite regulatory approvals, including approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

BSE said the investment is aimed at supporting the development of India’s international bullion market infrastructure at GIFT City, Gujarat. IIBH serves as the holding company for India International Bullion Exchange IFSC Limited and India International Depository IFSC Limited.
