BEML Ltd. has signed an MoU with Malaysia’s SMH Rail to expand their global presence in the rail and metro sector. The agreement, formalized in Delhi, aims to address rising global demand by focusing on marketing, supply, and servicing of rail products in Malaysia, Southeast Asia, and Africa. The partnership will enhance capabilities in design, manufacturing, and MRO services, and involve joint efforts in sourcing and technology exchange.
The MoU marks a significant step for BEML in expanding its global reach and addressing the growing need for advanced rail and metro solutions. With over 60 years of experience and exports to 72 countries, BEML is a key player in the rail industry, known for pioneering all-steel passenger coaches and driverless metro cars.
The company is also set to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper train prototype. This partnership underscores BEML’s commitment to global growth and innovation in the rail and metro sectors.
