Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), a subsidiary of Bharat Forge, and L3Harris Technologies have signed a two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance defense and security capabilities in India. The collaboration will focus on providing solutions in Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) technologies, with the goal of strengthening tactical communication networks in the country.

Under this partnership, L3Harris gains a strong local partner in KSSL, which will support the development of these critical defense technologies in India. The collaboration will also expand L3Harris’ global presence, building upon its footprint of over 1 million fielded radios across U.S. Department of Defense and allied forces.

The MOU aligns with the U.S.-India Defense Industrial Cooperation, fostering innovation and joint capabilities in defense. Neelesh Tungar, President & CEO of KSSL, emphasized that the partnership will enable rapid delivery of advanced defense products to the Indian Armed Forces, while adapting to evolving defense strategies and integrated ISR needs.

In addition to serving the Indian market, the collaboration will strengthen global supply chains, supporting L3Harris’ operations outside of India. L3Harris, with over 21 years of experience in India, also provides key technologies such as tactical radios and electro-optic/infrared systems to the Indian Armed Forces and partners with the Airport Authority of India to enhance telecommunications infrastructure across the country.
