JSW Neo Energy Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has been awarded an additional 400 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project under the greenshoe option from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (or “MSEDCL”) as part of MSEDCL – Phase III. With this new allocation, JSW Neo’s total capacity under Phase III now stands at 600 MW.
Following this award, the Company’s total locked-in generation capacity has risen to 17.6 GW, which includes a hybrid capacity of 3.2 GW (including FDRE). The Company aims to achieve an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25, an increase from the current 7.5 GW. This new project enhances the company’s energy solutions and supports its transition to becoming a comprehensive energy products and services provider.
JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity is now 17.6 GW, comprising 7.5 GW of operational capacity, 2.3 GW under construction across wind, thermal, and hydro sectors, and a renewable energy pipeline of 7.7 GW (with PPAs signed for 2.3 GW).
Additionally, the company has 4.2 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through battery energy storage systems and hydro pumped storage projects. The Company is targeting 20 GW in generation capacity and 40 GWh in energy storage capacity by 2030 and has set an ambitious goal to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
