Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL), has secured a ₹255 crore contract from Braithwait & Co. to supply 9,140 wheelsets for 25-ton axle load applications.
This order strengthens Jupiter’s position as a key domestic manufacturer of high-performance railway wheelsets, increasing its total order book to ₹560 crore. The company aims to reach ₹600 crore in revenue from its wheel business by FY26, nearly doubling its current contribution.
To support growth, Jupiter is investing ₹2,500 crore in a new Odisha facility, expanding production capacity from 20,000 to 1,00,000 forged wheelsets annually. Axle production is set to begin by December 2026, with full-scale operations by December 2027.
