Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Limited (KIMS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Ushahkal Abhinav Institute of Medical Sciences (UAIMS) in Sangli, Maharashtra, to manage its operations. This collaboration also includes an option for KIMS to acquire a majority stake in the future. The new entity will be named KIMS-UAIMS Hospital.

KIMS has already expanded its footprint in Maharashtra with hospitals in Nagpur, Nashik, and the upcoming 300-bed multi-specialty hospital in Thane. This partnership aligns with KIMS’ strategy to strengthen its presence in the state.

UAIMS Hospital, established in 2022, is one of the region’s leading quaternary care facilities with 356 beds and plans for expansion. The hospital features advanced medical infrastructure, including CT, MRI, and 15 state-of-the-art operation theatres, along with a dedicated mother and child care unit. A new day care oncology center is also under development, expected to open in 2025.

Dr. Bhaskar Rao, CMD of KIMS, stated, “Our entry into Sangli reflects our commitment to providing affordable, advanced healthcare across Maharashtra, with further expansion planned through both greenfield and brownfield strategies.”
