Ola Electric Mobility Limited has announced a significant scale-up in deliveries of its 4680 Bharat Cell powered S1 Pro Plus electric scooter, marking an important milestone in the company’s integrated electric vehicle strategy. The rollout has begun across Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telangana, alongside a continued ramp-up of deliveries in Karnataka.
The company has started customer deliveries in key cities including Coimbatore, Kochi and Hyderabad, while Bengaluru continues to see an accelerated supply of the latest S1 Pro Plus variant. The 5.2 kWh configuration is the first Ola Electric product to be powered by the company’s indigenously developed 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack.
With the introduction of in-house battery cells and packs into its vehicles, Ola Electric has achieved full ownership of the battery cell and battery pack manufacturing process. This development positions the company as the first in India to vertically integrate cell manufacturing with electric vehicle production, strengthening supply chain control and long-term cost efficiency.
The S1 Pro Plus 5.2 kWh is designed for extended range and higher performance, delivering an IDC-certified range of up to 320 km. The scooter is powered by a 13 kW motor and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just over two seconds, offering performance levels aimed at the premium electric two-wheeler segment.
In terms of safety and comfort, the model features dual-channel ABS, disc brakes on both wheels, multiple riding modes, and upgraded ergonomics. Visual enhancements and an expanded colour palette further position the S1 Pro Plus as a flagship offering within Ola Electric’s Gen 3 portfolio.
The company stated that the strong demand for the S1 Pro Plus validates its focus on building advanced electric vehicle technology domestically at scale. Following the initial multi-state rollout, Ola Electric is preparing for a broader nationwide expansion of its 4680 Bharat Cell powered vehicles.
Ola Electric currently offers a wide range of electric scooters and motorcycles across premium and mass-market segments, supported by a large direct-to-customer retail network and online sales platform. The latest delivery scale-up is expected to reinforce the company’s presence in the rapidly growing Indian electric two-wheeler market
