Sterlite Technologies Limited announces that it has emerged as the L1 bidder for the Development (Creation, Upgradation, and Operation & Maintenance) of the Middle Mile Network for BharatNet under the Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM) Model” – Package 131, awarded by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
The contract involves the development and maintenance of the Middle Mile Network for BharatNet in Jammu & Kashmir. The project will be executed over a period of three years for construction, followed by a 10-year maintenance contract, with an annual maintenance fee of 5.5% of the capital expenditure for the first five years and 6.5% for the next five years.
The total value of the contract is INR 1,625,36,49,617.26 (Indian Rupees One Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Five Crores Thirty-Six Lakhs Forty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Seventeen and Twenty-Six Paise only). This award further strengthens STL’s role in advancing India’s telecommunications infrastructure.
