LG Electronics India (LGE India) has announced the successful deployment of advanced HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) solutions at ‘Seva Teerth’, the newly inaugurated Prime Minister’s Office building in New Delhi. The project marks a significant milestone in India’s infrastructure modernization with a focus on energy-efficient climate control systems.
The company installed a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air-conditioning system with a total capacity of 1,590 horsepower. The installation includes 113 outdoor units, engineered to deliver consistent cooling performance under demanding environmental conditions.
The HVAC system was supplied from LG India’s manufacturing facility, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the government’s Make in India initiative. The system has been specifically designed for Indian weather conditions and is capable of operating at full capacity even at temperatures as high as 39°C, ensuring reliable performance during peak summer periods.
According to LG Electronics India, the deployment incorporates advanced energy-efficient technologies, including enhanced durability features such as black fin heat exchangers. These features are intended to improve system longevity and maintain optimal performance in high ambient temperatures.
To further enhance operational efficiency, the installation includes LG’s AI-powered Smart 5 Intelligent Control Platform. The platform enables centralized control, real-time monitoring, and optimized energy usage across the facility. Eight intelligent control units have been deployed throughout the building to ensure seamless integration and management of the HVAC system.
A senior executive from LG Electronics India stated that the project reflects the growing importance of intelligent and energy-efficient climate control solutions in large-scale institutional infrastructure. The company also emphasized its focus on expanding its HVAC ecosystem in India by delivering high-performance solutions tailored to diverse climatic conditions.
