GK Energy Limited announced that it has received a Letter of Empanelment and Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for a large-scale solar deployment initiative. The order covers the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 13,239 off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra.
The project has been sanctioned under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana and the PM Kusum B Scheme, both aimed at promoting clean energy adoption and supporting agricultural irrigation needs. The awarded systems span capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP, ensuring suitability for varied field requirements across the state.
GK Energy stated that the total contract value is ₹366.63 crore (inclusive of GST), and the installation must be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or Notice to Proceed (NTP). The company confirmed that the order is domestic in nature, and there are no related-party implications or promoter interests associated with the awarding entity.
