Genesys International, a key player in domestic mapping technology, has announced Pune’s adoption of their Digital Twin map stack. This Rs. 35 crore order stands out as it marks India’s first seamless integration of a 3D Digital Twin with a Command and Control Centre, incorporating various IoT sensors. This integration empowers authorities with real-time data insights for informed and effective decision-making. This order represents a notable shift towards the adoption of Genesys’ New India Map stack for command and control centers, emphasizing the integration of IoT and analytics.

This platform will be collaboratively developed with Innover Systems, a Pune-based technology company. The project’s scope includes various applications such as Disaster Management, Fire Rescue, Traffic Management, and enhancing Property Tax revenue. Genesys International Corporation Limited aims to revolutionize urban planning and management in Pune by leveraging advanced geospatial technology.

The Genesys ‘New India Map Stack’ initiative, which involves creating India’s first Digital Twin of all Indian urban cities, is pioneering the use of geospatial technology across a wide range of applications. The stack includes an advanced All India 2D navigation map and the largest street imaging content covering over 1 million kilometers, combined with 3D mesh modeling of entire cities at an exceptional accuracy level of 5 centimeters. This platform is poised to become a crucial component of India’s Digital Infrastructure and was officially launched for Genesys by the CEO of Niti Aayog.

Mr. Sajid Malik, CMD of Genesys International Corporation Limited, highlighted the significance of smart digitalization in urban areas, emphasizing the adoption of tech solutions and advanced analytics to address evolving needs. He emphasized the importance of optimizing services, enhancing responsiveness, and implementing citizen-centric strategies in municipal services. Mr. Malik noted that IoT plays a crucial role in enabling cities to deploy sensors and devices across infrastructure, collecting data for monitoring and preventive measures, such as road conditions, building safety, and accident prevention. He also underscored the potential for digital twins to improve various aspects of city life, including energy consumption, waste management, security, mobility, and infrastructure management. Pune Municipal Corporation’s adoption of real-time data visualization on the ICCC platform, featuring Digital Twin, IoT, Disaster Management, and Traffic Management, marks a pioneering step in leveraging technology for urban development.
