MosChip Technologies Limited, a prominent Indian company based in Hyderabad, specializes in semiconductor, software, and system design solutions. With over 1,300 engineers located in Silicon Valley (USA), Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Pune, the company announced that it has secured a Rs 509.37 crore contract from the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC).
The contract involves the design, development, and delivery of an HPC SoC based on 5nm technology. This project aims to position India at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, significantly enhancing the country’s capabilities in advanced high-performance computing and microelectronics. Duration of the contract is 3 years (4 years including support and maintenance)
The 5nm technology represents a significant advancement in semiconductor manufacturing, offering enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and reduced chip size (Performance, Power & Area). This project not only bolsters MosChip’s position in the global market but also opens new opportunities in both domestic and international markets for Turnkey ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) solutions.
