According to the regulatory disclosure, Exide Energy Solutions has completed the commissioning of a 6 GWh lithium-ion cell manufacturing facility at Devanahalli, Bengaluru.
The facility is being established to manufacture advanced lithium-ion cells across multiple chemistries and form factors. The manufacturing capabilities are intended to support applications across the mobility and energy storage segments.
Facility to Support Mobility and Energy Storage Applications
The company stated that the facility’s ability to manufacture lithium-ion cells across different chemistries and form factors will enable EESL to cater to a range of applications.
These include requirements related to mobility solutions and energy storage systems, two key areas of the growing battery and electrification ecosystem.
