Nazara Technologies has announced the launch of Bodycam UEFN, an official Fortnite adaptation of the tactical shooter Bodycam, developed by Virtaste under an agreement with Reissad Studio.
The new experience brings elements associated with the original Bodycam game, including a body-camera perspective, close-quarters combat, realistic environments and tactical multiplayer gameplay, to Fortnite through Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).
Players can access Bodycam UEFN by searching for Bodycam in Fortnite Discover or by entering the island code 9784-3946-5466.
Bodycam comes to Fortnite through UEFN
Bodycam UEFN has been designed as an expansion of the Bodycam universe for Fortnite’s player base. Nazara said the project is intended to introduce the franchise to a new audience while providing existing fans with another way to experience its tactical gameplay.
The Fortnite adaptation is positioned as a free-to-play experience created specifically for the Fortnite ecosystem. It does not replace the original Bodycam PC game.
At launch, Bodycam UEFN features Russian Building, an environment recreated with an emphasis on visual fidelity, atmosphere and tactical close-quarters encounters. The map is designed around high-pressure combat where positioning, reflexes, sound awareness and accuracy can influence the outcome of encounters.
Three multiplayer modes available at launch
Bodycam UEFN launches with three multiplayer modes:
- Free For All: Players compete individually in fast-paced matches where survival depends on awareness and accuracy.
- Team Deathmatch: Two teams compete to reach the score limit first in squad-based combat.
- Gun Game: Players advance through an evolving weapon lineup by securing eliminations, with the first player to reach the final weapon and claim victory winning the match.
The experience also includes long-term progression features. Players can climb ranks, unlock weapons, earn rewards and pursue competitive goals through regular gameplay.
Nazara said future updates are expected to expand the experience with additional maps inspired by the original Bodycam, new weapons and equipment, rewards and unlockables, seasonal updates, community events and additional gameplay modes.
Nazara targets Fortnite as a platform for gaming IP expansion
Nitish Mittersain, Managing Director and CEO of Nazara Technologies, said Bodycam UEFN represents the company’s first build inside Fortnite and could serve as a starting point for further expansion.
He said Fortnite has become a major discovery platform and that bringing Bodycam to the ecosystem demonstrates UEFN’s potential for premium-quality FPS experiences and future intellectual property partnerships.
The project is being developed by Virtaste in Unreal Editor for Fortnite and published by Nazara Technologies under an agreement with Reissad Studio.
Luca Dassier, Studio Director at Reissad, said the partnership is intended to combine Reissad Studio’s Bodycam expertise with Nazara’s publishing and development capabilities. He also highlighted the collaboration’s role in preparing for the future of Unreal Engine 6 through experience with Verse, the programming language used within the Fortnite ecosystem.
Reissad Studio will continue to focus on the original Bodycam PC experience, while the Fortnite adaptation operates as a separate project.
