Premier Energies Limited has inaugurated its new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Rangareddy district, Telangana, marking a significant expansion of its solar manufacturing operations. The company also conducted the groundbreaking ceremony for its upcoming 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility and an aluminium frames manufacturing plant with an annual capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, along with other government officials.

With the commissioning of the Seetharampur facility, Premier Energies’ total solar module manufacturing capacity has increased to 11.1 GW. The company said the expansion is aimed at strengthening its ability to serve both domestic and international markets.

Spread across approximately 75 acres, the manufacturing campus features G12R TOPCon module production lines, India’s first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, automated guided vehicle (AGV)-enabled material movement, and AI-powered quality inspection systems. According to the company, the automated production lines are capable of manufacturing one solar module every four seconds while maintaining production consistency and quality.

In addition to the solar module facility, Premier Energies has commenced development of its 6 GWh BESS manufacturing plant and an aluminium frames facility with an annual production capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes. The company said these projects will strengthen its clean energy manufacturing ecosystem and improve supply chain integration.

Premier Energies stated that once fully operational, the Seetharampur campus is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs, supporting local employment and expanding the company’s manufacturing workforce. The facility has also been designed with sustainability-focused operational practices.

Commenting on the development, Chairman Surender Pal Singh Saluja said the inauguration marks an important milestone in the company’s three-decade journey and reflects its continued focus on manufacturing technology and clean energy.

Director Sudhir Reddy said the integrated manufacturing campus, together with the planned BESS and aluminium frame facilities, is expected to strengthen Premier Energies’ supply chain resilience and enhance its ability to meet evolving customer requirements.

Premier Energies is one of India’s integrated solar manufacturers, producing high-efficiency solar cells and modules while continuing to expand its presence across the clean energy value chain.
