ITI Limited, India’s first PSU post-independence and a leading telecom manufacturer, has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the BharatNet Phase-3 Project. ITI, along with its consortium partner, secured Package No. 8 in Himachal Pradesh and Package No. 9 in West Bengal and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with a total order value of ₹3,022 crore.

This is part of a nationwide initiative to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to rural areas, with the goal of connecting 640,000 villages and Gram Panchayats.

Mr. Rajesh Rai, CMD of ITI Limited, expressed company’s role in this nation-building project, highlighting its potential to bridge the digital divide and empower rural India. He also emphasized ITI’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts to connect both urban and rural regions seamlessly.

ITI Limited is already executing BharatNet Phase-II projects across Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, and has recently won a ₹300 crore order from Bihar for installing 100,000 solar streetlight systems.
