The contract covers multiple wagon types, including BLSS container carriers, ACT2 bi-level SUV carriers, BOXNHL high-capacity open wagons, and BVCM bulk commodity units. These purpose-built designs are aimed at enhancing efficiency in the transportation of bulk commodities, automobiles, and containerised freight.
According to the company, BLSS wagons will be used for ISO container movement with a high payload-to-tare ratio, ACT2 carriers can accommodate up to 10 SUVs per wagon ensuring secure transport, and BOXNHL units are optimised for heavy-haul bulk cargo like coal and iron ore, featuring advanced braking systems and tippler unloading capability.
JWL stated that the order reinforces its capabilities in handling large-scale, specialised manufacturing projects and aligns with India’s growing freight logistics requirements.
